Um, Generation Y:

Why are there so many songs about love?
Songs about love lost and love found
And love lives turned around?
I guess the poets and dreamers all just can’t make up their minds.
I used to think that everything was
Everything was fine.
I think the things I think are fine are fine, are fine
And I want to think this through so you can just get out.
Girl, without a shadow of a doubt.
Girl, without a shadow of a doubt.
I want to be alone
So you can just go home
I hope that is all right.
Still, I think of you at night.
Girl, without a shadow of a
Everything was fine.
And I can’t make up my mind.
Do you want to be mine?
Girl, without a shadow of a doubt. Girl, without a shadow of a Fools rush in and out
And the fools all twist and shout
Tell me, what’s love all about?
Girl, without a shadow of a doubt.
Girl, without a shadow of a doubt. Girl without a shadow of a
Everything was fine.
And I can’t make up my mind. And I can’t make up my mind.
I’m sure that if you start
To open up you’ll find
If true love’s from the heart
Or is it just a state of mind?
I used to think that everything was
Everything was fine
And I think the things I think are fine are still all right
I think the things I think are fine are fine, in spite
of the thoughts I think of you that keep me up all night
Girl without a shadow of a
Everything was right.
And I can make up my mind, and I can make up my mind
And I can make up my mind, and I can make up my mind
Girl, without a shadow of a
Everything is fine
We’re Generation Y. We’re a generation stuck in time.
Girl, without a shadow of a doubt.

I really like the progression of thought in this one, it's like stream-of-consciousness-songwriting.

AND i'M WORKING ON ONE CALLED kILL mE TO sLEEP oops darn capslock anyways here it is so far

Just ’cause I’m strait
Don’t mean that I’m sexist
Just because you’ll pay
Don’t mean I’ll teach you how to play gui-tar
And just ’cause you say
That it’s love,
Honey, that don’t mean that it’s love
At all
Let’s get you out of those wet, wet clothes
Here, you can put on my shirt
Maybe we’ll dance the night away
I know that you’d like that
Love me softly
Kill me to sleep
Love me softly
Kill me to sleep
Love me softly
Kill me to sleep
Love me…

People are gonna notice
And think things that aren’t true
I don’t care, don’t shed a tear
It’s worth it all just to be with you
And Just ’cause I’m awesome
Don’t mean that I’m phat
I see you playing possum
But it’s not over yet
We’re not gonna stop,
No, we’re not gonna stop,
No, We’re not gonna stop
Until I’m dead.
Kill me to sleep.
We’re not gonna stop,
No, we’re not gonna stop,
No, We’re not gonna stop
Until I’m dead.
Kill me to sleep.
Love me softly
Kill me to sleep
Love me softly
Kill me to sleep
Love me softly
Kill me to sleep
Just ‘cause I’m strait
Don’t mean that I’m sexist
Just because you’ll pay
Don’t mean I’ll teach you how to play gui-tar
And just ’cause you say
That it’s love,
Honey… I’m pretty sure that means it’s love.

Ha ha, that is one of the best things I've read all day. Awesome title/motif line, by the way.
I wrote one song as well, though, tell me if you think of a title.

I have prayed for you,
To a fake, deaf god,
I have come for you,
Even though you'd gone,

I have prayed for you,
Now a lost, dead soul,
I have searched for you,
As it grew too cold,

There's nothing I won't suffer,
Nothing I won't endure,
Not to be your lover,
Or to hold you near,

But to free you of your nightmares,
To rid you of your ghosts,
Finally dry your tears,
So it is to you I toast,

"The faltering light!
The waning moon!
The coming night!
I'm coming soon."

What am I to you?
Acquaintance or friend,
Just what can I do?
To steer you from the end,

What am I to you?
What does that even imply?
What am I to do?
While I watch you slowly die,

I would do anything for you,
Just to see you smile,
And there's nothing I'd not do,
Please stay a little while,

Please tell me I can help you,
Please tell me there's still hope,
Just tell me what to do,
In hopes that I can help,

"The dimming flame!
The burning root!
Am I to blame?
I will follow suit."

I like it. Kind of... Vampire-y. And come to think of it, I did write Generation Y on the spot. er... a spot. We could use that spot in the music video. But really I already knew what it would be like, and then just put it in order, went home, and wrote something like that order down, until now it's in its final form like you see here.
But name, name... I rather like that line in the I think second to third last stanza.

Vampire-y?
And I would love to see Generation Y become a full-fledged song, it has a uniqueness in thought and form I've not seen often.
Which line?

Umm, "just to see you smile" or "while I watch you slowly die" but never mind, I came up with a different good title for it...
