What is it, exactly?
Are we just defying the concept of genres? Like, Ha, Ha, in your face, Concept of Genre!
It could honestly be Sci-Fi, Fantasy, Horror, Mystery...

Yeah, writing is always far too cliché when one writes to a label, labels should always come after, if at all.

Sort of like the Hero's Quest. It just sort of happens. There's the call to adventure, the rite of passage, etc.
I still think we should include more horrific elements, though. As if Letheans aren't horrific enough. <<shudder>>

Well, what do you have in mind? Not for the specific events, but the... effects, I guess.

Re: Genre

Yes, definitely the effect. Like, include some Great Old Ones in there when they speak of Searchers, to make it not only more ominous but also more superstitious.

Like, Cthulhu...?

Yes. And Yog-Sothoth, and Shub Nigguru.
Man, my Wikipedia browsing habits are unhealthy.

Mine are just as bad, Wikipedia consumes me on some days.

The really sad thing is that for me, it’s just at lunchtimes. Lunchtimes!
