Hares are creepy. Just, in general, like some kind of uncanny valley version of a bunny. There's folklore connecting them with witchcraft and all kind of good stuff. Hares, furthermore, behave erratically during mating season- hence the phrase, Mad as a March hare. They're even more terrifying, jumping around, straight up off the ground for no reason, among other things.
March meanwhile is when daylight savings time begins, and as such, one of the worst times of the year to watch horror movies- you're already not going to get much sleep tonight as it is, it being one hour shorter, but by the way do you want to watch this terrifying new feature guaranteed to make you lose sleep?
So I'm detecting a definite untapped market here...
